PROJECT 2: CONSTRUCTION DETAILING OF BUILDING ELEMENTS

In a group of 7 members, along with Interior Architecture students, we had to choose a two-story terrace house in Malaysia to analyze and do detailed construction drawings on. We were also assigned either the material timber or concrete. Our given material was concrete. Hence, our selected building was the concrete jungle house in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia designed by NOT Architects.

PROJECT 2: CONSTRUCTION DETAILING OF BUILDING ELEMENTS

I learned a lot from this project, not just about different construction materials and method but also how different reigons play huge role in the methods and materials used. It was a little difficult doing this project at first as, some of us were very new to the concept and there was a lot to understand before we could begin drawing. Overall, I think it was a good outcome, although I really did we had more time to work on it as the due date fell onto the same day as our final project for studio + our final exam was just 3 days later as well, with more time I think there was so much more we could have improved and developed on.
